A session exploring relationships, how we can use emotion in improvised comedy scenes, and how music can guide, support, or change how scenes feel. Conor Jatter will guide through scenework, drawing from his experience with The RH Experience and his jazz show Giant Steps. Will Dixon will both provide improvised musical underscoring and talk about his process. This session will most likely suit those who have improv experience and are looking to improve or practice their skills. As a guideline, you'll have completed an improv course, or have had some stagetime, but might not have worked with music before. The session will run slightly longer than Conor's usual classes, and have more of an emphasis on performing in front of an audience with live music. As always, there will be a big emphasis on creating a safe space to play in, and plenty of room to explore how it feels when it goes well, as well as when scenes feel a little more tricky. Most importantly, a lot of fun and laughter! We look forward to playing! Conor & Will
