An introduction into long form improvisation with a view to learning story structure and joke structure.
Who is this course for?
This course is designed for performers who are either currently working in, or about to enter, the performance industry.
To be eligible, participants must provide proof of one of the following:
Membership with Spotlight or MandyProfessional representationCurrent training in, or recent graduation from, an acting/performance programme at a higher education institution (e.g., university or accredited drama school)
Learn story structure and joke structure through long-form improvisation. We will teach participants how to build stories using emotional and character connection, encouraging ways of creating comedy without the need to “be funny”.
Note: All participants must be 18 years or older at the time of the first session.
