An Evening of Improvised Comedy at Libra Theatre Cafe Join us on Friday 24th April from 7:30pm at the Libra Theatre Cafe, Camden Town for a night of spontaneous, unscripted comedy hosted by the ever-fabulous Fluff. We're welcoming two brilliant guest teams — A Likely Story and Twelve People — for a mixed bill packed with fast thinking, big laughs, and zero safety nets. Before the show, don't miss afree one-hour workshopled by Fluff's ownNathan Dean— whether you're new to improv or a seasoned player, it's the perfect warm-up for the evening ahead.
Free Workshop - "The First Minute" (6:15pm) Fluff's Nathan Dean will be running a free 1 hour workshop for improvisers before the show, focussing on how to set your scenes up for success in the first minute. Audiences need to understand the facts of the world you’re creating before they can laugh or invest emotionally in your scene. The first minute of a scene is the time to set these facts in stone, before you look for game or emotion. In this workshop, you’ll learn three shortcuts to clarifying the facts of the scenes, and practice applying them to build a toolkit for creating clearer scenes. Aims Students should understand the importance of factual information in building a scene Students should understand three techniques for clarifying the most important information for themselves, their teammates, and the audience
