A weekend of improvising musicals exclusively for women. Come and work with Showstopper's longest-serving female members, including Pippa Evans, Ali James and Sue Harrison, exploring the joys of creating musicals in an all-female environment (although one of our male musicians may be involved purely as an accompanist). We will investigate : - song and scene creation - how to deal with gender stereotypes we are often given - how to break the gender stereotypes we put on ourselves - space work - claiming the stage - challenges we find as women in the world of improvisation To take this course you should already have a basic understanding of musical improvisation, either through taking a previous Showstopper course or performing regularly in a musical improvisation group. This course is limited to 14 participants. Dates : May 16-17, 2026 Times : 10.00am - 5pm Where : St Gabriels Halls, Pimlico, SW1V 3AA For more information please email workshopsinfo@showstopperthemusical.com This event is reserved for women.
