What is the course about?
The course is about discovering the pleasure of sharing the acting space with fellow players regardless of experience, creating the freedom to communicate confidently and effectively. You will improve your spontaneity ability to listen, and to work openly with truth, in the moment. Ideal for those wanting to improve their improv skills and develop more range in their work.

What will we cover?
• Essential improv skills such as listening, working spontaneously and freely with others
• Creating and exploring character and relationships
• Exploring and developing situations
• Application of emotional reading into improvisation
• Meisner repetition
• Become aware of audience expectations when crafting scenes

Please note that acting classes by their very nature can involve exercises and the exploration of material that some students may find challenging.

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...
• Confidently participate in improvisational games
• Work openly with other players
• Confidently contribute to the development of improvised scenes.
• Use status, emotion and other techniques to define character and scenarios.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
The course is open to all. It is ideal for those who wish to build confidence, develop openness in their work and learn to takes risks while playing.
